Crowders Mountain

Crowders Mountain is a favorite hiking spot for my family. It is a short drive away, yet features some great hikes. We often hike to the Pinnacle, a point that offers excellent views of the surrounding area. The Pinnacle can be reached from the Pinnacle Trail, and optionally a different path can be taken back on the Turnback Trail.

A close second choice for a destination is the Crowders Mountain Overlook via the Rocktop Trail, with a return via Crowders Trail. Or if you are looking for something less strenous, more moderate hikes are available with the Fern Trail and the the Lake Trail, both offering natural beauty (minus the amazing views) without the climbing.
